This year’s Barns Green half marathon was attended by several members of Bognor’s Tone Zone Runners.
Peter Lee, having had a break over the summer months, returned to form with a 1.30.11 finish, followed by young Jack Penfold in 1.43.01.
Further afield, training partners Karen Harrison and Anna Ennes raced against each other at the prestigious Berlin Marathon.
There, the world record was beaten by Dennis Kimetto with a staggering time of 2.02.57, beating the previous record by 16 seconds.
Harrison and Ennes finished within sight of each other in 3.22.31 and in 3.28.19 respectively – proving that months of dedicated training really do pay off.
In other races, Tony Hancock competed in the Sheffield 10k and finished in 45:49.
