The University of Chichester’s netball first team travelled to Brighton, who were yet to lose a game.

Chichester got off to a shaky start in the first quarter going down by six points within a few minutes. However the girls worked hard, bringing it down to just one goal.

They were six down in the final quarter but brought it back to win 44-37.

It was a great team performance with player of the match Emma James for controlling the game in the centre court.

Chi seconds played at home to Royal Holloway, and the game seemed to be running away from the team – but they brought it back to be trailing by just three at the end of the third quarter.

A phenomenal last quarter from the whole squad, with Laura Meridew gaining player of the match for brilliant shooting, gave Chichester a 55-49 win.

The thirds took on St Mary’s University at home and after a tense first half, they excelled to win 63-38. Player of the match was Lianne Purvis for some excellent feeds into the circle to help Chichester win.

The win has put Chi thirds back to the top.

Playing at home to Imperial, Chi fifths pulled together and turned over almost every centre pass to come through with a huge 56-7 win.

Eilish Whitaker was named player of the match for her impeccable shooting and contribution to the win playing out of position in the final quarter at wing attack.

The fifths were extremely pleased with the result and are looking forward to another win to extend their lead at the top.
