The University of Chichester’s netball second team travelled to play University of Brighton II.
Absent players and injuries were overcome as they pulled together to achieve a 49-32 win for Chichester.
Jessie Ford and Charlotte Hill were named joint player of the match for their consistent play and pressure on the opposition.
Chichester’s third team played two games. At home to the University of Sussex’s second team, Becci Dick tipped the majority of Sussex’s passes into the circle and the centre-court players got the ball back down court to Hannah Wakelin and Alescia Ferrari.
Chichester came out with a 35-18 win. Wakelin was awarded player of the match for 110 per cent effort throughout the game.
The thirds then hosted Reading. Chichester had a strong lead by half-time and ended up 34-18 winners. Apphia Williams’s effort on court won her a well-deserved player of the match vote.
The fourth team visited Portmouth University’s sixth team. Captain Bethan Vinney and vice-captain Emily Saunders had to juggle the team around and Nikki Barrie did well at goal attack.
The game ended 31-17 to Chichester. Hannah Wilder was named player of the match.
