The men’s singles also went to three sets. Cyril Pean played former champion Oli Callingham. An extremely high standard of tennis was played and it finished 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to Callingham.
In her second match of the day, Jenny Loversidge played Louise West in the ladies’ singles. It was closer than the score suggests as Loversidge won 6-1, 6-1, holding her title from previous years.
Jenny Loversidge returned alongside West in the ladies’ doubles against Jean Mugleston and Maree Loversidge. This was another excellent match that ended 6-4, 7-6, 6-2 to Mugleston and Maree Loversidge.
Final match of the day was the men’s doubles in which Sagi and Callingham faced Keith Savage and Neil O’Boyle. The final score was 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 to Savage and O’Boyle.
