Adams (pictured), who has presented and reported on sport for BBC, ITV and Sky Sports, says local sport is close to his heart.

“I am delighted to be joining V2 Radio it’s such a go to listen here in Sussex. We have such an amazing county for sport when you look at all the football clubs, Goodwood’s golf, motorsport and horse racing, Sussex cricket, running, watersports – there’s an abundance of sport and talent we can delve into.

“Sport is important for many people in the county and I believe we can bring our listeners something a little different. I’ll be discussing local sporting stories with Steve Bone, a Sussex Newspapers sports editor, and I’ll be bringing interviews and features from grassroots up to professional level from all sports.”

The new sports show can be found on your Alexa or via download by visiting the V2 app or website.

V2 Radio says it is bringing back proper local radio to the area, providing money for charitable causes and offering local news, travel information and entertaining programmes.
