Chichester City Ladies have signed up Straightpoint as development-team kit sponsor for a further two years.
Straightpoint, a provider of force measurement, load-monitoring and suspended weighing load cell equipment, have supported the squad since the 2014-15 campaign. The new deal extends the partnership to the end of the 2017-18 season.
Matt Wright, club chairman, said: “We are honoured to welcome the support of local businesses like Straightpoint.
“We are a hugely-professional outfit and is pioneering the continued development of female football in the UK. It is already the third most widely-participated sport in the country and partnering with business leaders in our region can only raise its profile further.”
The club’s development side includes senior and younger players who combine to support the senior squad.
David Ayling, director at Straightpoint, said: “I like the synergies between Straightpoint, a local gazelle company, and the Chichester City development squad.
“The team is clear about its role in the club and the whole set-up is passionate about continuing to raise the profile of female football in the area and as a UK-wide, even global concept.”
Wright said: “We aim to make playing as affordable as possible for the players. Everything that is sponsored saves the girls money on signing fees and makes the club accessible for all. All our management and committee posts are filled on a voluntary basis, so commercial support is greatly appreciated.”
