City win top-three clash... Lions beat Hassocks

Miles Rutherford's City closed in on second place in the league by beating the side occupying that spot, Haywards Heath, 3-0.

Lorenzo Dolcetti gave therm an interval lead while Josh Clack and Steve Hutchin added two more after the break.

Pagham won 2-0 at home to Hassocks, with Johan van Driel and Josh Irish scoring in the second half.

In division one, Selsey beat Oakwood 4-0 on the day they bid farewell to president Dave White, who died recently.

Cameron Corell, Ryan Morey, Ben Mepham and Joe Manners were their scorers.

Also in fine scoring form were Midhurst, who romped to a 5-1 success at Langney.

In division two Bosham remain firm favourites for the title after a 3-0 home win against Montpeilier Villa. Graeme Dowden, Bradley Miles and Jake Lafferty were on target.

Sidlesham drew 1-1 at Rottingdean, Tom Bayley rescuing a point with a late goal.

Some of our West Sussex League teams were involved in Malcolm Simmonds Cup ties. Lavant won 1-0 at Henfield but there was a rare defeat for Nyetimber Pirates as they went down 1-0 at West Chiltington.

In the Championship south, East Dean lost 6-3 at home to Angmering Seniors.
