Gustavo Poyet is planning to add a third West Brom loan star to his ranks.
The Brighton boss is making a move for the Baggies’ Republic of Ireland goal-grabber Simon Cox having already landed defensive pair Joe Mattock and Gonzalo Jara Reyes earlier this year.
The Uruguayan was quoted in the national press today as saying. “There is still a possibility we will bring in one when the loan window opens. But it’s got to be someone from the Premier League, if not we won’t.”
Cox notched an impressive 35 goals in 62 games at Swindon before his big money move to The Hawthorns, where he has struggled to hold down a first team slot and managed just ten goals in 58 games since 2009.
