Caldera helps his county to cricket championship
Teenage Chichester Priory Park talent Ben Caldera has helped Hampshire’s young cricketers win the ECB under-17 county championship.
Caldera, who qualifies for Hampshire as an A-level student at Portsmouth Grammar School, made 219 runs in the national competition at an average of 31.3, besides taking six wickets and snapping up four outfield catches.
He made one half-century and made several ‘down-the-order’ contributions with the bat, including an important 38 in the final against Warwickshire at Arundel Castle.
