LETTER: Waste of talent at the council

IT beggars belief sometimes how our district council manages to function.

I was saddened to read in last week’s paper that the council has decided to let a man of Kenrick Garraway’s ability depart.

Surely with the challenging times they are facing it is not the time to let people with such innovative skill and enterprise depart.

The council needs staff of his calibre with all the skills he has gained over the years in the private section, not some pen-pushing petit bureaucrat just looking forward to their pension.

Kenrick, thank you for all your enterprising work in the past. I’m sure you will find someone with some imagination that will take you on.

You never know, the council may see the error of their ways.
