I refer to David Geddes’ damning and derogatory report on Waterloo Square.
The ambiance and character of Bognor Regis seafront was destroyed long ago when much of the original architecture was replaced with endless flats.
Ollie’s Café, which is not ‘an awful grotty prefabricated place’, caters for all ages and you receive a friendly welcome, whether you are having a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of homemade cake or a freshly prepared meal.
It offers good value for money and the venue is spotlessly clean with lovely views over the bowling green and out to sea.
As regular visitors, our first call is to Ollie’s where you’ll never find a better breakfast.
Waterloo Square itself is one of the few places where some of the original architecture still stands.
How David Geddes, as a consultant, failed to notice the huge 1960s tower block behind the square beggars belief.
