SCOUTS from Yapton played a leading part in St George’s Day celebrations.
The Yapton Scout Group and the Peregrine Explorer unit, based in the village, carried the colours of the Arundel and Littlehampton Scout District in the event.
They also presented 100 Years of Scouting in Arundel and Littlehampton during the annual service.
The Peregrines helped to organise last Sunday’s event as the duty group.
District chairman Julie Dixon said: “The parade, co-ordinated by the district’s own parade marshall, again brought traffic to a halt and crowds to the street to watch.
“It concluded in a special celebration in the cathedral to renew the Scout Promise and celebrate 100 years of Scouting in the district.”
The District Scout and Nautical Training Corps bands performed at the parade.
