POLICE are seeking witnesses to this morning’s crash on the A27 around Chichester which involved four vehicles including a lorry and a Land Rover.
At 6.45am on Tuesday, March 31, emergency services were called to the A27 dual carriageway at Westhampnett, 500 metres west of its junction with the A285 Stane Street, following a four-vehicle collision.
There were no injuries but the incident caused significant traffic delays in the area, police said.
A black-and-white Land Rover 110 V8 and a silver BMW 520i saloon, both travelling east, were in collision before crossing the central reservation and colliding with a green Mercedes-Benz tipper truck and a silver Citroen Xsara travelling west.
The Land Rover, driven by a 61-year-old man from Godalming, Surrey, rolled onto its roof.
The BMW was driven by a 36-year-old man from Chichester, the lorry by a 55-year-old man from Billingshurst and the Citroen by a 53-year-old man from Worthing.
