Trust wants your ideas for plans for pier

HAVE your say on regeneration plans for Bognor Regis Pier.

The Bognor Pier Trust is asking all residents to get involved and give their opinions on plans to restore the historic seafront landmark.

Folks can have their say be writing in no more than 25 words any ideas they have for the pier.

The trust want the suggestions to be as imaginative as possible –the wackier the better.

The winner will be picked by the judges who will be looking for the most original and amusing ideas.

There are two ways to enter the competition, which will see the most creative scoop two VIP tickets to the trust’s Caribbean Party, you can either visit their Facebook page or drop your offerings into the Bognor Regis Observer office at Place St Maur, Belmont Street.

The Caribbean celebration will take place on the top deck of the pier on September 1.

It will be the trust’s first big fundraising occasion and members are looking forward to what promises to be a fun-packed time.

Tickets for the event cost £10 and include a glass of punch and hog roast.

They are available from The Picturedrome, Heaps Pcs, Woods Travel, Unique Printing and Embroidery and the pier’s cash desk.

Entries for the competition will close on Tuesday (August 27) and the results will be in next week’s Bognor Regis Observer.
