Two taken to hospital after multi-vehicle crash on A27 in Chichester

Two people were taken to hospital after a multiple-vehicle collision on the A27 in Chichester on Monday morning (September 21).

Four vehicles were involved in the crash near the Stockbridge roundabout shortly before 7.45am.

South East Coast Ambulance Service said one patient, believed to be a van driver, had suffered a head injury. Another person was suffering from neck pain but was 'conscious at the scene'.

Both casualties were taken to St Richard's Hospital for further treatment, the ambulance service confirmed.

Lane two was closed after the crash on A27 Chichester By Pass at A286 Stockbridge Road but traffic was said to be coping well before the road reopened.
