An earlier accident involving a car and a deer in the road has caused a few delays near Chichester this morning.

The incident happened in Kennel Hill near the Aerodrome turn off, according to the AA.

There are also reports of queueing traffic due to an accident on the A27 eastbound near A259 Cathedral Way (Fishbourne Roundabout) in Chichester.

The AA said police are on the way to the scene.

Elsewhere in Sussex there are reports of queueing traffic on the A27 Polegate Bypass both ways around A22 Polegate Road (Cophall Roundabout). There is congestion to the Golden Jubilee Roundabout on the westboud side, and approacing The Thoroughbred Inn junction on the eastbound side in the construction area.
