MOTORISTS have been reminded to renew their parking discs if they want to continue to enjoy free stays in Bognor Regis car parks.
The popular annual scheme starts again tomorrow (January 1) for 2015.
Drivers need to use the latest dark green discs to claim their two hours free parking in the Fitzleet, Lyon Street and Hothamton sites.
The discs cost £1 each and are available from a range of outlets in the town centre such as Polka Dot Stripes in the London Road precinct, Unique Promotions in The Arcade and the Bognor Regis Observer/visitor information point on the Place St Maur.
Paul Wells, a joint founder of the scheme, said: “It’s important motorists renew their discs.
“We don’t want them to be caught out because the 2014 discs have expired.”
Just under 4,000 of the latest discs – for the fourth year of the scheme – had been sold by the start of this week. Last year saw some 15,000 discs bought.
The free parking is a jointly funded by Bognor Regis Traders’ Association – with £3,500 – and Arun and Bognor councils.
