AN APPEAL has been made for witnesses after a teenager was attacked for his motorbike in Bognor Regis.
The 17-year-old victim was riding his Masia KL pit bike along Silverston Avenue when he was approached by a man.
The offender demanded the teenager hand over the keys to the bike and then struck him with a weapon.
He took the keys and walked off with the bike and the teenager’s black helmet.
The victim suffered bruising and swelling to one of his legs and cut to a hand in the robbery last Thursday afternoon.
Detective Constable Della Squires said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen or heard the robbery.
“They may not have realised what was taking place was a robbery and could have important information but may not know it.
“I’d also like to speak to anyone who may have been offered the chance to buy the red pit bike.”
An man from Bognor, aged 18, was arrested by the police on suspicion of robbery. He was questioned before he was released on bail until October 11.
