RESIDENTS in Rose Green and Pagham are being urged to save some pennies and get swapping.
A new online community swap shop has been launched for those living in the areas.
Iknowtom.com will allow residents to exchange their own services or goods with each other.
Tom Fordyce, who lives in Pagham, has launched the site as a project through his website design business.
He said: “Everyone has been tightening the purse strings over the past few years and working harder and longer to make ends meet.
“With the amount of services and home-grown products we have locally, or items lying around unused at home, I thought there should be an easy answer to swap within the community without the need to spend any money.
“Hopefully this will grow organically and we can extend the service to other areas within West Sussex.”
Anything can be swapped or exchanged at www.community.iknowtom.com and users are encouraged not to part with any hard-earned pennies, but the site can be used just to sell items.
The site has been designed to offer a one stop shop linking the community and what they have to offer.
Users can swap services or products, from mechanics for plastering or carrots for chrysanthemums.
