Strike action will affect schools in the Bognor Regis area


SCHOOL closures in the Bognor Regis area due to strike action have been announced.

The Regis School will be closed to students in Years 8 and 9. With planned HPV vaccines for Year 8 pupils now due to take place on May 2.

Students in Years 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13 should attend school as usual for their lessons.

Felpham Community College will be closed to all students in Years 8 and 10. The school will be open for Year 7, 11 and 6th form students who will follow a timetable of normal lessons and supervised private study.

The Ormiston Six Villages Academy in Westergate will also be partially closed on Wednesday, March 26. With the school only open to pupils in Years 10 and 11.

Aldingbourne Primary school will be closed to all pupils.

Slindon C of E will be partially shut. The Catkin Class will be closed all day and the Chestnut Class will be closed until 12.00pm.

The industrial action planned by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) is a continuation of protests over pay and pensions.
