People travelling through Slindon have been greeted by an unusual sight.
Scarecrows of all shapes, sizes and appearances have popped up around the village.
The village’s annual Grand Scarecrow Competition began on October 20.
It is open to all residents of Slindon, Eartham and Madehurst, and the only rule is all scarecrows must be able to be seen from the road.
The judging will take place on Saturday (October 29) in the Coronation Hall in Reynolds Lane where the winner will be announced and prizes given.
