RESIDENTS across Bognor Regis are encouraged to see red to help their heart.
Arun Wellbeing will be promoting heart health, and February 14 is a particular red-letter day – not just because of St Valentine.
To highlight the benefits of exercise, Arun Wellbeing is offering a British Heart Foundation red cap or red Wear it, Beat it wristband to the first 100 participants to arrive at the Bognor Regis parkrun on that day.
The free 5k run is held at 9am every Saturday in Hotham Park, and is open to all.
Cllr Paul Wotherspoon, Arun’s cabinet member for community services, said: “One of the great things about parkrun is that it’s open to everyone and participants are extremely supportive of other runners. It doesn’t matter if you can’t run the whole distance and need to walk in places, what matters is raising your heart rate.”
