AN UNOPPOSED vote saw Dr Tony Poland re-elected as the chairman of Aldwick Parish Council.
The decision at the council’s annual meeting on Monday means Cllr Dr Poland will lead it for the third year.
He was proposed by Cllr John Bass. He said: “Over this last year, the council has been going in the right direction, which it had not been previously.”
Cllr Dr Poland is the parish council’s seventh chairman since it was formed in the mid-80s.
His vice-chairman for the coming year is Cllr Molly Myers. She was elected without any opposition to succeed Cllr Brian Dodd. He was thanked for his work in the role in the past year by the chairman.
