A NEW look will greet customers of a Bognor Regis Post Office.
Durlston Drive Post Office will be treated to a facelift and it will be open for longer.
Regional network manager for the south, Will Russell, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in this area of Bognor Regis and we are confident the new branch will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.
“The modernisation is part of a major investment programme to convert the Post Office network to new-style branches. The investment, the largest in the history of the Post Office, makes a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
The new opening hours for the branch will be Monday to Saturday from 8am until 8pm and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
This means the branch will be open for an extra 33 hours a week over seven days.
The Post Office will also gain the car tax renewal service and other facilities.
The branch will close to enable the improvement works to take place on January 4 at 12.30pm. The new-look office will reopen six days later at 1pm.
The nearest offices for customers during the works will be in Bognor Regis and North Bersted.
