THE best excuse to dust off your wedding dress is returning to Bognor Regis.
The Brides on Bognor Beach event will be back with a bang on August 18.
This year, organisers want at least 100 brides to come and dash around Bognor for photo shoots in some 18 different locations.
The locations range from the historic Picturedrome and the train station, the high street, the famous land train, the bandstand, the deck chairs and the beach itself. There will even be a chance for some crazy golf.
In 2012, despite the chilly day, more than 30 brides and bridesmaids braved the cold to take part in the second annual event.
Once again the sight of all these brides running around the town and chasing photographer Paul Inskip in and out of the local shops caused quite a stir. At first people thought it was a wedding until they realised it was all brides.
The event toured even more of the town’s landmarks and even celebrated the Jubilee year with giant Union Jack flags in some of the photos.
The atmosphere and fun had by everyone at this event couldn’t even be dampened by the cold wind.
