PLAY Ranger sessions are coming to Bersted this summer.

The holiday fun-times will be arranged by the parish council. Its members agreed at their January meeting to go ahead with booking the activities.

They referred the matter to their finance and general purposes committee to consider it to enable the
final proposal to be discussed next month.

Fiona Dobbs, the council’s clerk, said: “There were some very successful Play Ranger sessions in Aldwick last summer and there is the possibility to hold them in Bersted this summer.

“It’s a way of involving parents and children in activities and keeping them occupied for some part of the day in the holidays.”

Cllr Gez Watson said similar sessions on the Trees Estate had up to 50 children. “They really made a big difference to them,” she said.

Cllr Ann Rapnik said the Play Rangers brought equipment like inflatables and ropes for plenty of fun.
