Three storey extension plans for Bognor Regis nursing home

A nursing home in Bognor Regis could have a three storey extension with 16 extra bedrooms if a planning application is approved.

Aronel Cottage Nursing Home in Highfield Road currently has 38 registered beds.

Now plans are before Arun District Council for an extension for 16 double ensuite bedrooms, a lift and additional living accommodation.

The design and access statement submitted with the plans said a previous appliation was withdrawn in December.

The new application is for a ‘reduced scheme’ dealing with the issues raised by planning officers.

These included the location of the proposed extension to the southern boundary, traffic noise from Hotham Way and improvements to landscaping.

It said the plans had been ‘designed to minimise the impact onn neighbouring properties’.
