Fontwell care home celebrates Mother’s Day with return of indoor visits
Indoor visits returned at care homes across the area just in time for Mother’s Day with long-awaited reunions able to take place after restrictions were eased.
Westergate House Care Home, in Denmans Lane, Fontwell, was beautifully decorated with flowers and bunting for the occasion.
Activities co-ordinator Kay Vevers organised gifts of flowers and baskets of chocolates for all the residents, as well as a traditional high tea in the afternoon.
Kay said: “With indoor visits now possible, it was super to see relatives back in the home visiting their loved ones.
“Video calls were also a feature of the day with families making contact if they were unable to be there in person.”
