Make Up Tips with Louise Arram

WELCOME to a new and exciting column, as well as makeup and skincare, I’ll be sharing everyday fashion tips, work wear, summer and going-out fashion, all at affordable prices!

Firstly, I’ve got to say a HUGE thank you to the wonderful staff at Boots Bognor, for the fabulous launch of the Advanced Serum – it really works.

Just thought I’d get that out there, so if you haven’t bought one yet, DO!

Boots No 7 has its amazing £5/£3 voucher so no excuses.

Now for the fun stuff!

With the wonderful hot weather we’ve been having recently, I’m sure we’ve all been looking at the lovely prints around in the shops.

Never fear, we can all wear them, you’ve just got to know who suits what.

Skater dresses, wrap dresses and kimonos are a great way to tap into this trend for all shapes and sizes.

Shorts are a must in this weather, if you’re worried about showing your legs then:

1 Get a spray tan;

2 Apply fake tan yourself (carefully).

Not all of us lovely ladies can wear hot pants these days, but there is a huge variety of skirt/shorts available.

Tips for feet:

1 Get a pedicure;

2 Choose a nice summer nail polish.

Tips for make-up:

1 Swap your foundation for a tinted moisturiser;

2 Use a cream blusher instead of a powdered one;

3 Swap your lipstick to lip-gloss;

4 Get a new mascara, waterproof is best.

Skincare is just as important in the hot weather.

A lot of us swap our heavier daily moisturiser for a lighter lotion and forget about our SPF.

SPF15 isn’t strong enough for your face if you are an outdoors person, SPF30+ is much better against long-term sun damage.

Remember, even if it’s a cloudy day, the sun rays are just as strong, so keep protected.

Ciao for now x
