Make Up Tips with Louise Arram

After getting blown off my feet this month by the wonderful weather, I decided to stay home and hibernate with my daughter and do research on wrinkle creams/serums.

We’re all still looking for that miracle anti-ageing product to take ten years off our face, and after trying out lots of products I’ve come up with a top six I think you may like to try out and see if you agree.

1 Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, RRP £44.

This little magic bottle is full of hydrating hyluronic acid to plump up the skin’s surface.

It visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines in an instant, a few drops goes a long way.

2 NO7 Protect and Perfect Intense Serum, RRP £23.

This wonderful serum is the first clinically-proven product that restores the skin’s structure.

Prolonged use will improve the appearance and smoothness of the skin’s surface.

The formula is hypo-allergenic and suits most skin types.

3 Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement Serum, RRP £42.

This luxurious serum contains green tea and grape extract which will leave your skin looking brighter, tighter and give a more even skin tone.

4 Skinceuticals Retinol 0.5 night cream, RRP £48.

This concentrate is for night-time use only.

It will stimulate cell regeneration, due to the retinol ingredient.

The active ingredient means sunscreen must be worn during the day to protect your skin against sun damage and further pigmentation.

The retinol will reduce the appearance of fine lines and is effectively good for most skin types.

5 Nivea Visage Q10 plus (anti-wrinkle day cream), RRP £9.99.

The sun is one of the biggest contributors to visible aged skin; always choose a day cream with an SPF 15.

This cream is very lightweight and provides great protection during the day, again with prolonged use the cream will decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

6 Olay Regenerist wrinkle Relaxing Cream, RRP £29.99.

Packed full of peptides and vitamins, this loveliness in a bottle helps to stimulate the skin’s natural mechanisms by increasing collagen production.

It will leave the skin visibly smooth and hydrated.

I hope this has given you food for thought regarding your skin.

Next column we’ll be springing into the new looks for the season.
