WHAT better way is there to start the year than to show support for local entrepreneurs?
Last weekend saw the opening of a new venture in Chichester and I popped along to check it out.
I have to admit, I’ve lived in the city for ten years now and never spotted this little road tucked away, so it felt like a bit of an adventure even finding it!
Owner Emma Gray said: “Birdcage Barn Emporium is a family-run business which aims to bring a creative hub to our area.
“We are ambassadors of the Shop Local campaign and passionate about reclamation, recycling, and vintage treasures.
“The Barn, 1 Leigh Road, Terminus Road Industrial Estate in Chichester, is where we have a craft and gift shop, run a variety of craft workshops, children’s craft parties, sewing lessons, knit and natter afternoons and much, much more.
“Throughout 2014 we have planned some exciting events. August 1-3 is our Cocktails and Couture Vintage Event, we also have some art exhibitions/gallery evenings planned for later in the year.
“We also run a house clearance service which can be seen from the on-site furniture warehouse website coming soon.”
