AN image of men officers would like to speak to after luggage was stolen from Barnham Railway Station has been released.

Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) this week released a CCTV image of two men they would like to speak to following the theft of a small suitcase on wheels from Barnham station late last year.

At around 6pm on Friday, December 5, the 43-year-old victim, from Maguiresbridge in County Fermanagh, boarded a train at Barnham, headed for Worthing.

However, she accidentally left her cabin bag in the Barnham waiting room.

PC Katie Furzer said: “I want to talk to the two men in the image I have released, as I believe they may have information on what happened to the cabin bag.

“You might have heard a commotion at Barnham station that Friday night because the men were apparently quite loud, and had been drinking in the waiting room.

“Do you know the men? If so, please contact BTP.”

The appeal for information was released on Friday.

Anyone with information on the incident should contact British Transport Police by calling 0800 405040, or by texting 61016, quoting reference
B11/SSUB of 26 February.

Information can also be passed, anonymously, to independent charity Crimestoppers, by calling its freephone number 0800 555111.
