STARS in our community are set to be recognised as our annual celebration returns tonight (Thursday, December 12).
The Observer Community Awards is back with a bang at Butlin’s, Bognor Regis.
Thousands of your votes have been counted and the winners will be revealed tonight.
Doors will open at 6.45pm and guests will be welcomed to our free-of-charge celebration by a team of Butlin’s red coats singing carols.
Host Fred Dinenage will then reveal the winners of this year’s awards.
The ceremony is expected to finish by around 9pm.
“This is one of my favourite awards of the year,” said Observer series editor Colin Channon.
“Every year I am amazed at the variety of inspirational stories revealed by these awards. The fact the winners are our readers, nominated by readers and voted for by readers, makes it even more special.”
There is still time to attend this celebration of local stars. Tickets for the free event are available from the Chichester Observer offices, Eastgate Square, Chichester.
Tonight will also see the Observer hold a fundraising raffle in aid of Tom’s Toddle Fund.
Prizes include a signed Rio Ferdinand shirt, tickets to see Boyzone, lunch at a host of restaurants and much, much more.
So come along for our celebration of the best our area has to offer.
