Professional boxer Liam Griffiths added extra entertainment to the International Bognor Birdman on dry land.
Liam completed an hour-long skip for charity outside the pier on the first day of the Birdman weekend last Saturday.
The switch hitter, dressed as a 118 118 man, showcased his rope trickery with doubles, criss crosses and side to sides in front of passers-by in aid of Cancer Research UK.
“I am overwhelmed with the support I got from the public. We raised over £800 which is huge considering we only had a week to do it,” said the 25-year-old support worker.
“I can’t explain the buzz I got seeing people put money in the pot.
“It really spurred me on and pumped the adrenaline through my veins which saw me through the hour.”
“Charity fund raising is something I’ve always been passionate about and something I will do for the rest of my life.”
Liam thanked those around the town who had backed his fundraising.
