MP Nick Gibb has visited Aronel Cottage care home to talk about social care and nursing with owner Julian Hitchcock and his team.
Mr Gibb, on February 16, said it is ‘invaluable’ to be able to discuss the topics with people who have years of experience. He added that the comments will be passed on to the newly appointed minister for social care.
The meeting, he explained, follows one in 2017 which he organised between the then minister of state for social care and Mr Hitchcock
“I visited the care home to see the care that Mr Hitchcock and staff provide for their residents and to discuss Mr Hitchcock’s further thoughts on social care and nursing. Aronel Cottage is a family owned care home which was established in 1975, making it the oldest care home in Bognor Regis. The home provides care for 38 residents and offers a wide range of personalised services,” he said.
