MP NICK Gibb dropped in for a cuppa at a Bognor Regis home.
Mr Gibb spent time at Elizabeth House to meet its staff, residents and their relatives.
Elizabeth House is a 60-bedded specialist dementia care home which is run by national provider Shaw healthcare in a working partnership with West Sussex County Council.
Mr Gibb, the MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, spent nearly two hours looking around the service.
He visited every unit and spoke with residents and staff across the site.
He said: “I have really enjoyed my tour around Elizabeth House where the management and staff have created a caring and warm atmosphere for residents who have all types of dementia.
“Having spoken with many residents and families, it is clear the residents here are very happy being looked after by the enormously kind and caring staff group.”
Elizabeth House, on Hawthorn Road, operates an open door policy which means visitors are welcomed without having to make an appointment.
Residents have access to all areas in the home, including the secure garden area.
Dementia is often refereed to as a cruel illness, which is affecting more people.
