MOTORCYCLISTS will be gathering in North Bersted this weekend to raise money for charity.
The 30-strong Bad Wabbit Crew is holding its annual fundraising event on Saturday (June 8) at the Newtown Sports and Social Club.
The activities at the Greencourt Drive venue will start at 1pm and end about midnight.
Crew member Peter May said: “There will be a motorcycle show and stalls during the afternoon and live music will start at 3pm.
“There will be eight bands playing on the day – Alligator Smile, Bullet, Generic Noise, Golden Boulder, Johnny Ram, Rox Band, Sunnlord and Underagers.
“This year’s event is being run to raise money for Help for Heroes, which is all the more poignant given the recent attack in Woolwich in which a soldier was killed.”
The charity will have a stand on the day.
Previous years’ events have raised money for the neo-natal unit at St Richard’s Hospital and The Bloodrunners volunteer motorcycle riders who deliver urgently needed blood to hospitals.
