A RACECOURSE proved the perfect backdrop for an Aldwick man’s celebrations after he won a model competition.
The mini version of Fontwell Park created by Jeremy Thomas, 50, won the guinea pig village contest at Aldingbourne Country Centre’s family fun day.
His impression of the racecourse pipped racing rivals Goodwood and Chichester Cathedral.
Alex Killick, Fontwell’s business development executive, said: “It was great to see the time and extraordinary effort that Jeremy and others had put into their models.”
He deserved a day at the races with his family as a treat, he said.
