Man charged after attempted takeaway robbery in Bognor Regis


A MAN has been charged following an attempted robbery at a Chinese takeaway in Bognor Regis.

The offence occurred at 8pm on Monday (February 16) when a man entered the shop in Chichester Road and demanded money from a member of staff, while holding a 2ft long object wrapped in plastic.

Another member of staff confronted the man who then ran away without taking anything.

Jack Kemp, 21, of Whyke Road, Chichester has been charged with attempted robbery and was due to appear at Crawley Magistrates Court today (Thursday, February 19).
