Lifeboat crew rescue dinghy

A LIFEBOAT crew came to the rescue of an adventurous beachgoer stranded in a rubber dinghy at Bognor Regis.

The crew from Selsey lifeboat station helped the boat and its passenger to shore near to Bognor pier.

The incident was handed over the coastguard and the crew made their way back to the lifeboat station run by
the RNLI.

The lifeboat, ILB Betty & Thomas Moore, was crewed by Colin Pullenger, Andy Lee and trainee Dan Langford.

“It just goes to show no matter how experienced you are or how well you may plan your journey, you never know when you will need the services of the RNLI,” said Mr Pullenger.

The alarm was raised just before 3pm on July 8.
