A desperate appeal has been launched after a puppy was stolen from a van in Crockerhill this morning (Monday, November 30).
Black Labrador Nala was left in a cage in the van parked outside a house while her owner was doing some work.
One of the van’s doors was left open to give the animal some air and the cage and dog was stolen between 8.50am and 10.39am, along with some tools.
The dog is said to have a heart problem and police are investigating.
Sarah Constable wrote on Facebook: “We desperately need her back as she is undergoing investigation for an issue with her heart.
“As a result her vaccines aren’t complete yet so she is extremely vulnerable and no good to those that have stolen her.”
She has pleaded for the safe return of the puppy so ‘you don’t break my little girl’s heart a couple of days before her birthday’.
The black Labrador has a white mark on her chin.
She was stolen along with a strimmer and a Mikita site radio, police said.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious or knows where the dog is has been asked to contact police by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 101 quoting serial 0421 of 30/11.
