Kayleigh has her hair cut to help ill children

FIVE years ended in a snip for North Bersted teenager Kayleigh Cooke.

She sacrified about a foot of hair to help children who have lost theirs because of sickness.

Kayleigh has sent it to the Little Princess Trust to provide wigs for seriously ill children.

Kayleigh, 16, of Frandor Road, said: “It feels good to have had my hair cut off.

“I saw a Children in Need programme about children with cancer who didn’t have any hair and I wanted to help them.”

She also raised about £200 for the charity by her haircut with a difference.

Salon manager Natalie Easen spent some 45 minutes at Combinations, in Chichester Road, turning Kayleigh’s medium brown hair into an inverted bob.

“I don’t often get the chance to get that amount of hair off,” she said. “I love doing it because of the length.”
