REVIEWERS found improvements to higher education at Chichester College were needed to boost the quality of student learning opportunities.

The Quality Assurance Agency for higher education (QAA) published a report on standards and quality at Chichester College last week following its review in May.

The review recommended Chichester College ensure ‘deliberative structures are effective in the setting, implementing and monitoring of strategic objectives designed to improve the quality of learning opportunities for higher education students’.

It also recommended the college raise awareness of its higher education strategy.

Gerry Griffith, quality manager at Chichester College, said: “Chichester College welcomes the report, which has already been very useful in further developing systems and procedures.”

The college was ranked outstanding for its further education by Ofsted earlier this year.

QAA deals with university-level education.
