Help is on hand as students decide

STUDENTS at a Felpham school are getting ready to make some tough decisions.

For Year 9 pupils at Felpham Community College, the time for picking their GCSE options is fast approaching and students have been preparing in citizenship lessons using various computer programs.

The lessons are targeted at helping students identify the type of person they are, what they want to do and what careers may suit them best. It will also identify their personal, learning and thinking skills.

Along with advice from their subject teachers, careers coordinator, year leader, form tutor and parents, this should help them make the right choices with their option subjects.

More than 100 students have also enjoyed option and choice event days at both the University of Sussex and the University of Chichester.

These days provided students with informative and useful insight into university life and what is needed to get there.
