CHARITY groups are set to get a cash injection.
Seven voluntary, community and charity groups have been awarded money from the Arun Wellbeing and Health Partnership Small Grants scheme.
The successful applicants included Arun Counselling Centre, which provides older residents with specialised counselling, and Enable Me, which gives training for volunteers to work with people with disabilities.
Cancer United, which promotes healthier lifestyles to avoid preventable diseases, and Littlehampton Shopmobility also benefited from the grants.
Paul Wotherspoon, Arun’s cabinet member for community development, said: “All these groups improve the quality of life for people who live in the district and this funding will give them a much-deserved financial boost.
“We are happy to support them and wish them every success.”
