A man has been taken to hospital with facial injuries following a fight at Chichester Railway Station this morning (July 3).
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “Police were called to Chichester railway station in the early hours of Friday, 3 July, following a report of a fight at the location.
“The call came into police at 12.27am.
“Two men were injured in the incident.
“A man, in his 40s, was treated at the scene for serious injuries to his face and subsequently taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
“Another man, also in his 40s, received minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
“A man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
“Four other men were arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH). All are currently in police custody, assisting officers with their enquiries.
“A police cordon was in place on the station forecourt while officers reviewed CCTV and examining the crime scene. This has now been lifted.”
“Anyone with information is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting incident 23 of 03/07/2015.”
