VISITORS to the first day of Festival of Speed can expect nail-biting action from both the sky and the circuit.
Action on the hill will kick off at 8.45am, with the forest rally stage opening at 9.30am.
This year the forest rally stage, which takes place on the hillside above Goodwood House, will see contemporary rallying cars and historic cars over the next three days of the festival.
There will also be action from the GAS arena, beginning at 10.30am.
The hotely anticipated Bonhams fine automobilia auction, which takes place at the festival every year, will start at 11am. Bonhams motor auction will start at 2pm, with many special items including John Lennon’s Ferrari.
An air display will take place at midday. Visitors can expect a display from the Red Arrows, who have long been a festival favourite performing at nearly every Goodwood event over the last 20 years. They are also set to deliver a breath-taking air display on Sunday.
A further GAS arena show will take place at 4pm.
The forest rally stage will close at 5pm, and the hill climb at 6pm.
Food and drinks are available on site all day.
