Excitement as plans for fourth Rox in the Park event gain pace

A JOURNEY through the history of music is set to take over a Bognor Regis park.

A team of seven third-year event-management students from the University of Chichester are beavering away planning Rox in the Park presents Evolution – which will see Hotham Park filled with music and entertainment later this year.

The free event will be a wonderful time-line of live music and dance on the bandstand stage from choral to classical, folk to Jazz, rockabilly to SKA, right through to modern day.

Student Natalie Abbey-Allan, the event’s production manager, said: “Evolution is a one-off event, live music and a huge variety of entertainment from the word go, absolutely not to be missed.”

Alongside the stage there will be an all-day dance and entertainment tent, a nostalgia den showcasing some beautiful Gramophones from DecoGraphics, as well as an all-day movie tent presenting some Charlie Chaplin classics and modern musical favourites.

For those feeling active and creative there will be zorbing and arts activities plus craft stalls and food and drink served all day.

The occasion, which will be the fourth Rox in the Park event, will be held on May 9 between 11am and 5pm.
