Pupils say final goodbyes at glittering event

Students bade a fond farewell to their Felpham School.

More than 200 Felpham Community College pupils said their final goodbyes at a glittering awards evening.

Students were presented with certificates to mark their GCSE, BTEC and A-level successes in the summer.

Headteacher, Mark Anstiss, said: “It was a wonderful evening and a great opportunity for the staff to say goodbye to their students. It has been another year of outstanding achievements and I wish all our leavers the best for the next stage of their academic journey.”

Observer writer Laura Cartledge, presided over the awards ceremony, ably assisted by sixth form leader, Mrs Williams.

Among the star prizes up for grabs were the Felpham Parish Council-sponsored Dominica Smith Award for outstanding progress and the John Wiley Award for service to the college or local community.
