ARTWORK by Barnham pupils will brighten the journey of passengers at the village’s railway station.

The three winning children from Barnham Primary School will see their designs recreated on a stained glass window in the rear windows in the platform three waiting room.

Eve Holland, Alex McAuley and Tyler Baker impressed station staff with their creativity.

Sussex Community Rail Partnership development officer Pene Mather said: “I have been really impressed with the designs the pupils did and know the local community and users of Barnham station will be amazed by this project.”

The winners received a framed copy of their design and a family pass for a day out on Southern Railway.

The school already has artwork on show in the waiting room on platform one and has a noticeboard in the station’s underpass.
